NEWS: The Department of Transport has issued new guidelines in light of the current situation with COVID-19. These are a temporary relaxing of the enforcement of drivers hours rules. In summary, the EU driving limit is extended from 9 to 11 hours and the requirement to start a weekly rest period after six 24hour period, to after seven 24 hour periods – However, these cannot be used at the same time.
