CS Ellis Logistics celebrates its 90th anniversary in Royal style

Rutland-based CS Ellis Logistics welcomed HRH The Duke of Gloucester at its primary operating site in South Luffenham, Rutland, as part of the company’s 90th anniversary celebrations.

The CS Ellis family and team showcased the company’s newly branded fleet livery, displayed on its 90th anniversary DAF tractor unit and trailer.

The Duke (pictured left) was also treated to a viewing of a collection of vintage vehicles from CS Ellis Logistics’ heritage fleet, including the iconic “Prince of Rutland”, a 1960 flatbed, the regal “Her Majesty” a 1934 Foden R Type, and the historic and award winning FP4, a 1899 Decauville French vintage car that was the first vehicle registered in Rutland.

CS Ellis Logistics chairman Trevor Ellis (pictured right) and his son and CS Ellis chief executive Chaz Ellis (pictured centre) welcomed the Duke of Gloucester to the company’s premises.

Chaz Ellis praised the Duke’s genuine appreciation for the company’s rich heritage and his keen interest in the logistics industry.
