GE-BE opens new Swaffham HQ

GE-BE Transport has opened its new 435,600sq ft Swaffham HQ, which it said paved the way for the Norfolk firm’s future growth.

The £5m facility accommodates GE-BE’s fleet of over 70 trucks and 100 trailers as well as its 100-strong workforce and it also provides warehousing, pick and pack and undercover docking areas for the Palletways member too.

Its opening coincided with the appointment of Mac Szczygiel (pictured) as head of business development.

He said: “It is great to be joining Ge-Be Transport as they move into their new headquarters and to be able to help grow the business by providing a reliable and sustainable logistics service.

“We have been inundated with interest from local businesses and have had great responses from our existing customers. Paired with the latest technologies Palletways can offer, these facilities will open many doors for us as a business.”

GE-BE’s MD Carl Green said the new site will move in excess of 1,000 pallets a day and store more than 2,000 for local businesses.

“This investment will allow our existing customers to grow their business into this space and benefit from our new warehousing and storage and pick and pack services alongside their existing Palletways service,” Green added.

“We hope to continue to grow into our new site and provide our customers with ease and speed access across Norfolk.”
