Surrey haulier gets funding boost to expand fleet and premises

Family haulage firm BR Saunder has used a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK to purchase ten new vehicles to add to its fleet of self-loading and unloading vehicles.

The company, which is based in Walton-on-Thames, has used the funding to acquire ten 32 tonne
loader-crane vehicles with lorry loaders, capable of lifting up to 10 tonnes, and six acres of land to house its extended fleet. The company’s fleet ranges from one tonne to 95 tonne loaders.

It is also planning to boost its driver and office staff numbers, as part of wider ambitions to increase its marketshare in the South-East. The company estimates that the additional funding will help increase its turnover by 20%.
